Wednesday, April 18th: Work Together Wednesday

Work together, build together, learn together!

When children build together they explore math and science concepts; develop their social and early literacy skills; and strengthen their muscles, muscle coordination, and spatial awareness. Children can use any material to build. At Good Shepherd, we have skillful, imaginative builders. Today, we had fun constructing with various materials and cooperating through board games.

In one class, the children created binoculars so that they could use them to closely observe a cardinal that has them enraptured each time they go outside. In another class, the children each designed quarters of circles to create a class mural. Another class, used blocks to create what looked like an amphitheater and then they gathered an audience and put on a show for them. This class also played board games together.
