Our 4 year olds were treated to a special activity this past Thursday. They participated in an interactive creative movement version of The Nutcracker with Linda Lawrence, performer and teacher.
It was so much fun! The children danced, acted, watched, and made pretend hot chocolate which they pretend drank!
The children were invited to participate in the show only if they were comfortable doing so. Everyone who wanted a role received a turn at playing a lead character in the story. Everyone participated in the audience movement activities and songs throughout the performance.
Both 4’s classes had read multiple versions of the Nutcracker and so were familiar with the story when it came time to act it out. We are very grateful to Linda Lawrence for bringing this wonderful story to life with us.
