Our generous families, here at Good Shepherd, helped us to exceed our goal of feeding 10 families this holiday season.
One of our parents, Susan Brunenavs, hosted a bag decorating party so that the children could make each food bag special and a lot of fun was had by all who attended.
Tresha Rodriguez who spearheaded our food drive delivered our food bags and supermarket gift cards to Lifting Up Westchester, in White Plains.
We collected 10 bags containing a holiday meal and a supermarket gift card so that each family could purchase a main dish important to their own culture. In addition, we collected more supermarket gift cards so that families could shop for their own holiday meals or special food items.
