Accreditation
The Good Shepherd Early Childhood Center holds the distinction of being accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children. This rigorous process of approval of our curriculum, educators’ qualifications and facilities is conducted every four years by national evaluators. This is the highest mark of quality that a preschool can be awarded.
We are the only preschool in the Rivertowns area – Hastings, Dobbs Ferry, Ardsley and Irvington – to hold this highest mark of quality. For more infomation on NAEYC, please visit their website here.
Licensing
The school is registered with the University of the State of New York and licensed by the Office of Children and Family Services.

Facility
GSECC is located within The Irvington Presbyterian Church's premises. The school is housed in 5 spacious, well-equipped early childhood classrooms. The expansive secure outdoor facilities include two shady playgrounds, a generous "wheeled toy" riding area and a very large grassy field. All this makes for healthy, all-season outdoor exploration and play. Additionally, we have a large all-purpose room in which to enjoy indoor gross motor activities as well as all-school meetings, gatherings and fairs.
